Biography
Sara Hyder is a southern Maryland based multi-media, abstract painter. She earned her Bachelor of Fine and Commercial Art Degree with a concentration in photography from the University of Saint Francis. In her current body of work Sara uses primarily acrylic paint and oil pastels, she occasionally uses color pencils and crayons for added dimension.

Sara Hyder finds inspiration for her paintings in the array of vibrant colors found in nature. Her work can be influenced by a bright field of wildflowers, a glowing sunset, or a rich landscape. Sara loves to bring forth what her eye interprets in her paintings in an abstract manner, whether that be a specific flower or entire landscape. Her goal is to portray a feeling of delight through bold colors and energetic movement.
